Picture Cottage is a detached stone cottage, recently renovated, it once formed part of the outbuildings to the main house of Llanunwas, a country estate set on the cliff tops on the outskirts of the picturesque harbour village of Solva. A bistro table and chairs are provided to sit and enjoy an alfresco meal. Make the most of the large communal lawned areas which give plenty of space to soak up the stunning views out to sea over St Brides Bay.
Spend your time walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which is approximately 400 yards away and gives access to some of Pembrokeshire’s most stunning cliffs round to Caerfai Bay, St Nons and St Davids itself. Single storey outbuilding converted in 2009 to a single bedroom cottage with open plan kitchen/dining/living room with separate bedroom and bathroom which are two steps up from the living area. The parking for Picture Cottage is a gravel surface for approximately 12 cars about 30 metres from the cottage itself. There is also the possibility to drop off people adjacent to the cottage. From the main gravel parking area there is plenty of width for access, however the approach consists of a total of 9 shallow downward steps which are illuminated at night and well marked. The access from the drop off point is wide enough, but consists of 9 shallow steps up and 6 shallow steps down. This access is not so well illuminated as the main access. A single entrance door of 85cm width, with door opening inwards to 2 immediate downward steps, into the kitchen/ dining/living room. The property is ground floor only with the kitchen/dining/living room on one level. There is a low level cooker and hob and all other appliances are easily accessible, but many storage cupboards are above the worktops. All taps are 90 degree turn rather than traditional screw/unscrew. All fixtures and fittings in the living room are at a low height and easily accessible. To access the bedroom and bathroom there are two steps up from the kitchen/dining/living room. The steps are wide, but with no hand rail. The doors to the bedroom and the bathroom are both 80cm wide, but there are no convenience rails in either the bedroom or bathroom. There is a large communal lawned garden adjoining the main parking area and is relatively flat with short grass.
